Tangerine Dream

I designed this bold necklace for the July 2012 "Tangerine Tango" themed challenge for the Etsy Beadweavers Team. Each participant designed an original piece of beadwork featuring this deep, rich, reddish-orange color. I loved the 'pumpkin' shape of the stone beads I had, so I used them as inspiration for the ridged focal piece. The cord is a double row of tubular herringbone, stitched together, but with either end dangling free, and connected with a beadwork toggle clasp. The cord is 19 inches long, and the focal hangs 4 inches.
